This AIRTime interviews Kristian Donaldson, a local award-winning cartoonist and illustrator of graphic novels. Kristian will share about his approach to creating the art that supports the story line and characters in a graphic novel, and about his latest venture working with Amazon’s ‘comiXology Originals.’
A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Kristian has been working as an artist since 2004. His clients include comiXology, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Dark Horse, IDW and advertising campaigns for Philippe Starck, Adidas, and Nissan.
His most latest graphic novel “The Dark” is available on comiXology.

SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (2018) PG 1h 57m
After the interview, enjoy food and beverages while watching SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE (2018) PG 1h 57m – this animated success relates the tale of teen Miles Morales who transforms into Spider-Man and then faces other Marvel characters from other dimensions as he attempts to stop a threat. Voice actors range from Shameik Moore as Morales to Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen, and from Mahershala Ali as Uncle Aaron to Zoë Kravitz as Mary Jane. There’s even a cameo by the great Stan Lee, his final voice-acting role.
A bit of trivia about the filming: “Completing the animation for the film required up to 180 animators, the largest crew ever used by Sony Pictures Animation for a film.”
