Don’t miss the 8th Annual Crawfish Boil and PopUP Art event at Richardson’s Church of the Epiphany. Scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018 (10 am-5 pm) this year’s family-oriented festivities have been developed through a community partnership with AIR4arts. Beyond the traditional mudbugs, BBQ and beer, we’re hosting local artists in a PopUP art event. The artistic offerings—ranging from mixed media to wood, stained glass to jewelry—provide plenty of art to view and purchase. Perfect for that special Mother’s Day gift! Experience great art. Take home a treasure.

Music in the PopUP Art space will be by local instrumentalist Matthew Banks (10 am-noon); indie duo Cinema for the Blind (noon-2 pm); and renowned keyboard player Mike Finkel (2-5pm).

Buy your ticket online for $25 or pay $30 at the door. Tickets covers all-you-can eat crawfish from Fruge’s with corn and potatoes cooked by the Epiphany Crawfish Team; Cajun sausage, BBQ brisket and pulled pork from Knight’s BBQ; and craft beer from Richardson’s own Four Bullets Brewery. Plus this year, the over-21 crowd can vote on their favorite home brew at the home brew competition booth. Sample and buy treats from Evil Cowboy Hot Sauce and Isabelly’s chocolates.

Kids’ meals are $5 and include a hot dog, chips and a drink.

Special music inside the PopUP Art area by the phenomenal young instrumentalist Matthew Banks, 10am-Noon; indie pop duo Cinema for the Blind from noon-2pm; followed by keyboardist extraordinaire, Mike Finkel 2-5pm.

Kids’ activities include a petting zoo and a creativity center for making recycled art. They can even be a part of the crawfish sorting fun, too!

Live music outside from local blues musician Aaron Burton and others will keep your toes tapping and your hands clapping. Bring a lawn chair, blanket or a pop-up tent and relax for the afternoon enjoying good food and great company. Dogs welcomed if on a leash.

So bring your friends and family and join us for a day of fun, food and creativity.

Food tickets required. There is no fee to attend just the PopUP Art Event.

All proceeds from food ticket sales benefit Epiphany’s Missions and Outreach programs.
